Get to the dock!

Our Club is dedicated to making friends and creating fellowship with other "dog people" and their water-loving dogs! Rocky Mountain DockDogs membership is mainly comprised of Colorado, Nebraska and Wyoming residents - but we don't discriminate!  Anyone with a dog who loves to jump, retrieve and swim is welcome to join!  While many DockDogs are retrievers, our club and the sport in general is open to any breed.

Depending on membership level, club members enjoy many benefits including an e-newsletter subscription, logo decals, discounted (or free!) training & practice meetings/seminars and even club t-shirts. Our Club was formed in August 2008 and membership is growing at a rapid pace!
With continued growth, we will be able to schedule
more events, have more FUN and raise more money for our favorite charity:  Chase Away K9 Cancer.

Broomfield Days Festival - September 19-20, 2009:

Official Photos available at www.FureverPhoto.com

We had a great time and the event was a huge success!  We had over 80 teams competing with many of them DockDogs newbies!

Club members rallied to get the pool set up on Friday night and then afterward had a Fun Jump to raise money for Chase.  Saturday morning started off early with the crowds lining up before we even had a chance to get our canopies set-up!  April worked hard all weekend as the event Admin and Sue from the DockDogs Iowa affiliate Club 3-D was on hand to help us out with announcing and running the show.  Mike (formerly of Gateway DockDogs) was a huge help stepping in to judge as well.

The highlight of the weekend was the inaguration of Stella the St. Bernard as an Official Rocky Mountain DockDog!  Stella was schmoozing the crowd to raise donations to Chase Away K9 Cancer when she decided that she should try to squeeze in a little swim time too!  We should hopefully have some video up soon!

The weekend ended on Sunday evening as a storm blew in from the mountains (providing some nice "tailwinds" for our Big Air Finals!).  We finished the dock tear-down and rolling up the Splash Pool just in time!

Can't wait to do it again next year!
