ABOUT ROCKY MOUNTAIN DOCKDOGS:
Our Club is dedicated to making friends and promoting sportsmanship with other "dog people" and their water-loving dogs! Rocky Mountain DockDogs, Inc. membership is mainly comprised of Colorado, Nebraska and Wyoming residents - but we don't discriminate! Anyone with a dog who loves to jump, retrieve and swim is welcome to join! While many DockDogs are retrievers, our club - and the sport in general - is open to any breed and any size dog!

Depending on membership level, club members enjoy many benefits including an e-newsletter subscription, logo decals, discounted training & practice meetings/seminars and club merchandise. Our Club was formed in August 2008 and we love to add new members with new ideas! With continued growth, we will be able to schedule more events, have more FUN and raise more money for our favorite cause: Chase Away K9 Cancer.

WHERE CAN YOU TAKE YOUR DOG TO SWIM INDOORS ALL YEAR LONG?
National Championships - Dubuque, IA Oct 14-17, 2010:
If you have never been to a DockDogs National Championship, you don't know what you are missing!
The event is an amazing display of DockDogs culture! Decorated tents (for the Club Challenge), decorated dogs ("war paint" and speed suits as well as Halloween costumes), pom-poms, flags, banners and let's not forget COWBELLS - all contributed to the festival atmosphere in DogTown! The weather was beautiful and sunny all three days to help our dogs jump big. Dubuque was a wonderful host city and we enjoyed visiting the Mississippi River Museum & Aquarium and taking an cruise on an authentic riverboat! Friday night we enjoyed bowling as part of the Club Challenge and our team of Van, Jon, David, Ken and Clarke WON the tournament! And on Saturday our club won the DogTown Theme Tent challenge with our mountain cabin decor (we think the Campfire-in-a-can is what secured our victory!). Saturday night's banquet brought more cheers to our club as our own Heather Ratynski won the award for Sportsperson of the Year! On the final day of competition - Jon, Clarke, Rich and Sue all came away with Champion ribbons! Congrats to all! We will see you there again next year!
